What is your prediction for the future of the construction sector in the UK?
As end-users become more aware and knowledgeable the sector will have to develop and provide them with efficient, intelligent solutions. Construction companies need to consider the macro impact of their buildings to enable them to design and build “better” buildings – in terms of energy efficiency, usability, aesthetics, O&M and life-cycle costs.
Fast forward 10 years, where do you see NetZero Buildings?
A pioneer of off-site, intelligent construction with exciting specialist sector branches of the business.
Give me your number one benefit of offsite over traditional build methods?
Efficiency – whether it’s time, cost, safety or quality – off-site wins each time.
If you were Head of Building for the UK, what one thing would you change?
Despite our ever increasing order book, only 1 building in 100 is replaced by a new one each year in the developed world – these older buildings tend to be much less efficient so there needs to be continued pressure and incentive offered to retrofit and update existing buildings.
What do you love most about working for NetZero Buildings?
It is a company that’s always striving forward and presenting new & interesting challenges to solve.
