Job Title: Storesperson
Reports to: Procurement Manager
Hours of work: Mon-Fri 37.5 hours
Salary range: £18,000-20,000
The role of Storesperson is a busy and varied opportunity.
This is an outline description of the key responsibilities and accountabilities involved in the job. This is not an exhaustive list and the post-holder might be expected to undertake any other duties across the wider organisation, commensurate with level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training.
- Receive and unload deliveries of materials and components.
- Guide delivery vehicles within the factory grounds
- Organise stock and materials
- Sign out / control issue of materials to operatives
- Monitor stock and liaise with procurement to order stock when supply is getting low
- Plant checks first thing in the morning (forklifts daily inspections etc)
- Move materials by forklift if necessary
- Equipment checks (once per week)
- Mobile Towers
- Fire equipment is accessible and in good order
- Saws/ panel saws, chop saws etc are clean and being maintained
- Monitor canteen supplies (milk, water, washing and cleaning fluids etc)
- When Stillages are being loaded, control loading of Haulage vehicles and guide them round the factory.
